To help make sure that evidence is provided by those completing tasks, you can now require a task to have an attachment before it is marked as complete.
How to enable the 'Require Attachments' feature
- Locate the task template you wish to enable the 'Require attachment' status on. Click 'Actions', then 'Edit' to open the editing options. For more information, see our guide on how 'Edit a Task Template'.
- Scroll down and look for the 'Require Attachments' option. Select 'yes' and click on 'Save' to apply the changes to the task template.
Using the Feature
For tasks created from templates with the “Require Attachments” feature enabled, users will receive an error message if they attempt to complete a task without uploading any attachments, as shown in the screenshot below.
In order for the task to be marked as complete, the user will need to upload an attachment first.
