Task templates are either 'Active' or 'Disabled.'
When changes are made to a Task Template, these updates will automatically apply to:
- All existing buildings that already have the task in their task list.
- Any new tasks created based on this template.

How to disable a task template
If you no longer need to manage a task in your organisation, you can disable its task template.
When a task template is disabled, the following will happen automatically:
- New tasks cannot be created based on the disabled template.
- Where the task is already in a profile task list, the task will no longer show a review date.
To disable a task template, follow these steps:
1. Select 'Admin Area' from the main navigation bar (#1 in the screenshot below).
2. Select 'Task Templates' from the left-hand side panel (#2 in the screenshot below).
3. Search for the task template you wish to disable. You can scroll through the options, or use the search bar (#3 in the screenshot below). When you have located the task template, select the title (#4 in the screenshot below).
4. From the task template page, select 'Actions' which will reveal a drop down list (#5 in the screenshot below). Select the option 'Active' (#6 in the screenshot below).
5. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to disable the task template. Select 'Yes' (#7 in the screenshot below).
How to make a disabled Task Template 'Active'
If you had previously disabled a Task Template, and make it 'Active', the following will happen automatically:
- New tasks can be created based on the task template.
- Where the task is already in a profile task list, the task will now show a review date.
To make a disabled Task Template 'Active', follow these steps:
1. Select 'Admin Area' from the main navigation bar (#1 in the screenshot below).
2. Select 'Task Templates' from the left-hand side panel (#2 in the screenshot below).
3. In order to locate the task template, select the 'Active' button in the filtering section (#3 in the screenshot below) this will toggle to show only inactive tasks.
4. Now you will only be shown tasks which have been disabled. When you have located the task template, select the title (#4 in the screenshot below).
5. From the task template page, select 'Actions' which will reveal a drop-down list (#5 in the screenshot below).
6. Select the option 'Disabled' (#6 in the screenshot below).
7. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to activate the task template. Select 'Yes' (#7 in the screenshot below).
