Video Guide to Uploading Attachments to a Task
This video provides step-by-step instructions on how to upload attachments to a task. It uses the Gas Safety Certificate as an example.Â
Uploading a file/ document
If you need to upload certificates, invoices and other evidence of works completed e.g. photographs, follow the instructions below:
Locate the attachments area from the Tasks page (as shown in the screenshot below), or the Profile attachments tab.

You can either drag and drop the necessary files into the attachment area (#1 in the screenshot) or click the green [+] button (#2) and locate a file from the file browser.Â
If you wish to create an attachment using an online report rather than uploading a file from your computer, click on the down arrow next to the green [+] button (#3 in the screenshot). A further window will open giving you the option of selecting a report from the drop down list (#4 in the screenshot). Remember to click on 'Create' (#5) to create the Report, which will appear as a further attachment. If you choose not to add a Report, click on 'Cancel'.
Once uploaded, your task attachment will be shown in the attachment area - see screenshot below.
If you are attaching your file to task, remember to 'Complete' your Task using the date of the inspection. Please see our 'Task Progress Status' Guide for more details.

Downloading an Attachment
Locate the attachment in the Attachments area (as shown in the screenshot above and click on the file icon/ image. Depending on your browser settings, the file will either download to your device, or open within your browser.Â
NOTE:Â For attachments which are generated by an online report, e.g. Building Checklist; clicking on the attachment will open the generated report within SafetyToolbox Online (see screenshot below). You will then need to click on the Download button (#3 in the screenshot below) to download a PDF of the report. If the report relates to an online checklist and you need to change your answers, click the Review Questionnaire button (#4 in screenshot below) and follow the instructions outlined in our Help Guide 'Completing a Task Using an Online Checklist'.

Deleting an Attachment
To delete an attachment, click on the button with three dots (#1 in the screenshot below) for the attachment you wish to delete.
A small window will open as shown in the screenshot below. To delete the attachment, click the red dustbin button (#2 in the screenshot below).
4. As deleting an attachment is permanent, you will be asked if you are sure. Click 'Yes' to go delete the attachment, or 'Cancel' to close the window without deleting the attachment..
Please remember that If you delete an attachment, it is permanent and irretrievable.
