To create a new Resource, go to the Admin Area and click on Resources (#1 in the screenshot below).
Click on the green plus button (#2) to create your resource. A form like the one below will appear.
3. Title
Every resource needs a title. Try to come up with something short and snappy to summarise the contents of your resource.
4. Draft/ Published
Change the status of the resource. Only Published resources are available to general users from your Resource Library.
5. Content
Add the main body of your resource. When you enter this area a toolbar will appear to allow you to format your content as you would in Word or other word processing software. For more details on how this editor works see our guide on how the editor toolbar works.
6. Summary
Provide a short summary for your resource. Remember to include any key words here as your summary is used to search the Resource Library.
7. Type
Identify the type of resource. This is the sub heading under which it will appear in the Resource Library.
8. Topic
Choose which topic this resource should appear under in the Resource Library.
9. Enable pdf download?
If you would like your users to be able to download a pdf copy of the resource, click 'Yes'. If not, click 'No'. If you are creating a resource that has an attachment, eg a template and the attachment is the important element, you should select 'No'.
10. SafetyToolbox Resources
Add any additional resources which might relate to this guide. These resources will appear as quick links in the sidebar when people view the guide.
11. Legislation
Provide any relevant items of legislation. As with SafetyToolbox Resources these will be linked to in the sidebar.
12. Third Party Links
Add any relevant links to other websites. As with SafetyToolbox Resources these will be linked to in the sidebar.
13. Save
Once you are happy with your resource, click the 'Save' button to create the resource.
