When someone begins work on an online questionnaire/ checklist for a task, the status is locked and will automatically be completed when the associated questionnaire is finished. If for whatever reason the associated questionnaire is no longer needed (e.g. a fire risk assessment that you decide should be carried out by a professional assessor, or a task is no longer relevant and should be archived) administrators can remove the associated questionnaire, unlocking the status dropdown.
From the task page, you can remove the associated questionnaire by clicking on the menu button (button with three vertical dots) as shown in the screenshot below, then clicking on 'Delete Questionnaire'.
Note: This will permanently delete the associated In Progress questionnaire response along with the answers entered. Other historical entries of the questionnaire will not be affected.
Once the questionnaire has been removed, the status dropdown will be unlocked allowing you to update it as necessary.
For guidance on Task Status, please see our guide 'Task Progress Status'.
